  1. It was really interesting to hear about the fight between Lewis and Schleming and how that had more of a story behind it than just a rematch

  2. I thought your presentation was really powerful in showing a man who was more than just a good boxer, but he was also a really good person as well. The video you showed the class was really powerful and engaging, too.

  3. I did not know who Lewis was until this presentation. After you guys did your presentation i had a pretty good understanding on how much of an impact he had on that time period.

  4. I thought it was cool to hear that Joe Lewis kind of slacked off early in his career, and that is when he lost to the German. Then he developed a new attitude that helped him knock out the German guy in the first round of the rematch.

  5. I thought you guys did a great job on your presentation. It was very engaging and full of facts. I had no idea that during the great depression there was such a man like Joe Lewis. You guys did an excellent job pointing out the important details about Lewis and showing your own interpretation of how we is iconic. The PowerPoint was very well put together and I think you guys definitely set the bar for future presentations

  6. There was a lot to like about your presentation. The presentation was very well organized. I thought the video was very cool, but don't think it really had much relevance in your presentation. Also, your title page says Joe Lewis and the one Sgt. picture said Joe Louis. So, I'm a bit confused on the spelling.

  11. I had always heard Joe Lewis refered to as the brown bomber but after your presentation I realize what a great man he was. I now understand why the name "Gentleman Joe" fit him so well. Great job.

  13. I never knew much about Joe Lewis other than he was a depression-era boxer. Your presentation opened it up and showed he was more than a good boxer.
