Exploration 8 Dillon

What stood out to me the most in this video was just the sheer lack of caring for the common man by all of the rich people who work for banks. All they want to do is get richer, while the rest of the nation crumbles beneath their feet. Their lies are so easy to see through and nobody does anything bout it. The thing that is most troubling is that this has a huge affect on the wealth of the nation and they dont even care.

A place where the information may be misleading is the graphs, they are extremely skewed to prove a point. Of course i believe that most of what they are saying is true. Wall street executives seem to have a lot of power because they have so much money, and the fact that the hire thousands of lobbyists to sway senators, and other officials opinions. Political parties don't matter when it comes to money, all politicians are greedy and will do anything for money. They have kept the power because they don't have to go up for election every two or four years, they just always keep their jobs until they die, retire, or fired.

some reforms that are necessary would be a lot more regulation in wall street banks and getting rid of derivitaves. Also not letting banks borrow past their worth. Most things that need to be done are just common sense. People can watch the news more often or do their own research to keep up to date. One of the things that made me the most mad was that when lawyers went to sue these big banks, "they would have lawyers line up to defeat the proposal, and if you did good, they'd hire you."

  1. I think that you did a good job of explaining what needs to be done to prevent this from happening again. Good work!
