I thought that chapter 15 was the most important chapter between 12 and 15. The reason is because i really gives a glimpse of what it was like to be traveling and what it was like to be working.
it shows how poor some of the travelers were and how desperate they were. It also showed what it was like to work at a truck stop, with poor travelers coming in and with the truck drivers. "Could you see your way to sell us a loaf of bread..." This shows the theme of the chapter, desperation.
I also chose chapter 15. This chapter like all the side chapters gives the reader a glimpse of what life was like at the time. It shows the hardships that so many people had to go through.
